Störling Conservatory offers a collegiate dance program designed to help students discover the artists they were created to be. 

Through Christ-centered education, excellent dance training and immersion in a caring community of professional artists and real-world opportunities, students are holistically prepared to thrive in both the Christian and mainstream sectors as they use their gifts to impact the culture and the world.

Störling Conservatory offers a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a one-year Certificate in Dance through a hybrid system of in-person and online classes. 

Inspired by Störling Dance Theater, a professional dance company known for its powerful storytelling, Störling Conservatory’s DNA includes a focus on thought-provoking storytelling and the impact of beauty, placing high priority on exploring the function and purpose of the arts from a Biblical reality. 

In addition to a strong foundation in Ballet and Modern dance techniques, bachelor’s students take courses like Choreography Composition, Christianity & Culture in the Arts, Worship Dance, Missional Life for Creatives and Wellness for the Artist. Students also complete at least two internships.

Key to their development is Störling Conservatory’s emphasis on community. Students are immersed in a community where they are taught, trained and mentored by practicing, professional artists in various genres, including members of Störling Dance Theater. 

Störling Conservatory is in partnership with Visible Music College and is a member of The Culture House arts organization which offers educational and professional programs in the Kansas City metro. As a part of this community, students also receive real-world opportunities to perform, teach and observe the business side of a functioning arts organization.

Dancers attend Störling Conservatory with a dream. As students, they receive tools to explore, discover and pursue those dreams, even letting their dreams change along the way. Upon graduation, artists embark on the next chapter of their lives, equipped with excellent training, a biblical worldview and a community of faculty, staff and peers cheering them on as they become a part of thoughtfully and positively impacting society.
