Artist in Training

Available for the 2026-2027 academic year, Störling Conservatory of Dance is offering the Artist in Training program! It is a not-for-credit dance training program for dancers interested in pursuing a career in the field of dance.

The Artist in Training program is ideal for dancers deciding whether or not to pursue a career in the dance industry, considering a college dance degree or looking to further their dance training.

This conservatory-style program provides a robust curriculum of dance and dance-related courses. Each course is designed to equip students for a successful, well-rounded career as artists.

Dancers receive quality training while immersed in a thriving arts community. They learn from a faculty of professional artists, take advantage of real-world arts opportunities and are supported by a community dedicated to their holistic growth and well-being.

Upon successfully finishing the program, dancers receive a certificate of completion.

The Artist in Training program runs August to April with approximately 15 classes each week, Monday through Friday. Dancers also participate in two to four weeks of guest artist intensives.

Performance opportunities are offered throughout the year, including a spring dance concert and possible outreach performances and occasion to travel.
